Kingston FURY Beast is aimed at demanding computer users, such as gamers, video and image editing professionals, designers and those who demand high performance from their computer.
DDR4
DDR4 is the fourth generation of computer RAM technology. It replaces DDR3 and offers increased speeds and capacity.
It offers operating speeds from 2133MT/s to 4800MT/s, response time (CAS Latency) from CL 9 to CL 22, while its capacity has been increased to up to 32GB per memory module.
For speed (MT/s) and capacity (GB), the larger the size we choose, the better performance we will have in our system, while for response time (CL), we want the smaller size for the speed (MT/s) we have chosen.
The above features must be compatible with the specifications of our motherboard.
Kingston FURY Beast delivers speeds of 3200MT/s, with CL16 and 16GB per memory module.
Compatibility
DDR4 technology is compatible with specific motherboards and processors. For example, DDR4 is compatible with Intel Skylake, Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake and the latest Intel processors, as well as AMD Ryzen and Threadripper processors.
However, for compatibility with your motherboard, you need to make sure that your motherboard supports DDR4 technology from the manufacturer. Compatibility depends on the processor platform and the type of motherboard you are using.
XMP & EXPO
XMP & EXPO is a technology that allows us to increase the frequency and performance of our computer’s memory, without the need for manual settings. (XMP/ EXPO) is easily enabled from the BIOS, is available on some RAMs and is supported by some motherboards.
Kingston FURY Beast DDR4 RAM has (XMP 2.0) profiles with performances:
- Speed (XMP 2.0): 3200 MT/s
- CAS Latency (XMP 2.0): 16-20-20
- Voltage (XMP 2.0): 1.35V
Cooling & Design
The aluminum construction material combined with the memory’s height of 34.1mm, which is an ideal size to accommodate the processor’s large heatsinks, helps keep the memory and the entire computer at a fairly low temperature even in the most demanding operations.
